Injection-molded plastic kit of the British submarine HMS Undine in 1:400 scale from Mirage Hobby. The box for this particular boat is rounded out by fine detail parts and decals.
HMS Undine was a British coastal submarine of the so-called U class and at the same time the lead boat of the first group of that class, after which the whole line is sometimes called the Undine class. These were smaller vessels built before the outbreak of the Second World War for patrol duties in European waters. The U class submarines were simple, agile and economical, which is why a great many were built and why they served widely in European waters. HMS Undine was lost early in the war, during one of her first combat patrols.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Attach the fine detail parts with cyanoacrylate glue and work patiently. Decide whether you are building the complete hull on the stand or a waterline model. Lay down a primer and airbrush the dark gray shades with the deck set apart. A thin dark wash will bring out the hatches and the seams.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
