A finished model of the classic Czechoslovak Skoda 706 RTO bus in 1:43 scale from the Czech maker Abrex, from the Abrex Toys range. The model is made of plastic and is supplied assembled and painted in the striking two-tone Veletrzni finish: it is not a kit. In its conception it is closer to a collector's toy than to a workshop model, and yet it faithfully recalls the iconic shape of this bus.
In the 1960s the Skoda 706 RTO was the most widespread type of bus on Czechoslovak roads. It was built in large series from 1957 to 1972 in several basic versions and made its name through an elegant body that was among the handsomest of its day.
