The detail set contains one accurate replica of the 480 gallon FPU-11 external auxiliary fuel tank carried by the Super Hornet family. The resin (3D-printed) tank has a finely rendered shape, panel lines and attachment fittings and will complete the external stores of a plastic model. It is not an aircraft kit but a refining part.
The bulky 480 gallon tanks markedly extend the range of Super Hornets and are a common part of their combat configuration. A faithful tank shape raises the realism of a model.
Wash the print resin residue off the part, cut off the print supports and sand the surface with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Check the fit on the pylon of the model before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
