This set solves exactly what is hardest to render on modern cockpits: the color screens, the buttons around them and the keypads of the control panels. Kelik has printed them with relief and in color, so the modeler only cleans the surface and lays the elements in place. Intended for models of the A-10C attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The target kit is Italeri.
The A-10 came about in the 1970s as an aircraft for close air support, and its design started with a seven-barrel rotary cannon. The pilot is protected by a tub of titanium plates, both engines sit high above the fuselage and the twin vertical tails increase the chance of returning with a damaged airframe. The upgrade to the A-10C standard brought new weapons controls, precision munitions and above all two color screens, which replaced some of the original dials.
The screens stand out when there is a flat and matte base beneath them, so sand the surface of the instrument panel with a fine sponge before seating them. Do not pick the elements up with your fingers, as grease from the skin reduces adhesion. Once finished, we recommend not overspraying the cockpit with varnish, so that the sheen of the displays is not lost.
