An accessory photo-etched set aimed at the landing gear and the exterior details of a model of the American A-26 attack bomber in 1:48 scale. It contains fine metal parts that replace or supplement the plastic parts in the landing gear bays and on the surface of the airframe, covers, stiffeners, grilles and small loops among them.
The Douglas A-26 Invader (later designated B-26) was an American twin-engined attack bomber committed at the end of the Second World War and in the conflicts that followed. It stood out for its speed, good defense and versatile use as an attack and bombing aircraft.
The parts are cut from the fret, thin elements are shaped with a bending tool and they are bonded with super glue. Bare metal should be degreased and primed before painting. Working in the landing gear bays calls for tweezers and a steady hand.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
