A set of waterslide decals from the American brand Two Bobs in 1:48 scale, aimed at the markings of the training armament of modern fighters. It holds lettering and color bands for the training (CATM) versions of the AIM-9 and AIM-120 missiles and for ACMI recording pods. These are add-on decals for armament, not a kit.
CATM (Captive Air Training Missile) are training, inert versions of guided missiles used for practice without a launch; in reality they are set apart from live ordnance by blue bands and specific lettering. ACMI (Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation) is a pod hung in place of a missile, which records the course of practice air combat. Faithfully imitating these markings gives a model in a training configuration an authentic look.
Paint the missiles and pods and clear coat them with gloss. Slide the decals onto their places after soaking in lukewarm water and blot the excess water away. To settle them onto curved bodies, use a decal softener and a decal fixer, and finally fix everything with a protective clear coat.
The decals are supplied on their own; the armament, the model, paints and clear coat are not included in the package.
