A sheet of full-color waterslide decals from the British maker Airscale in 1:48 scale. It contains the logos and specification lettering of propeller manufacturers as found on the blades of the propellers of Second World War piston aircraft, Allied as well as German. It serves to finish propellers realistically. It is not a model or a kit but a finishing accessory.
The decals include the logos of the leading propeller makers of the day and the small technical lettering placed near the root of the blade. Every motif is on the sheet separately with a minimum of carrier film, so it can be placed accurately on a propeller blade. The set suits kit, modified and scratch-built propellers alike.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat, which prevents silvering. Cut the motif out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and, once it releases, slide it into place. Given the curvature of a propeller blade, a decal softener is recommended, and going over it with a matte clear coat at the end.
This is a stand-alone accessory. The model of the aircraft itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
