An accessory set of windshield wipers for a model of the British twin-engine Avro Anson in 1:48. It is not a model of the aircraft but a small accessory. Wipers are exactly the kind of detail that a plastic kit either does not contain at all or renders as a bump on the glass, and yet they are immediately visible on the glazed nose.
Cut the parts off the casting blocks with a fine saw and sand the cut surface. Wash the resin in lukewarm water with detergent before painting. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), but on clear parts dose it in the absolute minimum, because its fumes will fog the glass. It is safer to use a water-based glue for clear parts. Paint the wipers separately and fit them at the very end, after the glazing has been finished and unmasked.
Wipers look best on a model when they are not in one line. Turning each of them slightly matches the way they come to rest once they are switched off.
The set contains only the wipers. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
