Eduard 1:48 B-17G rear interior is a photo-etched detail set for the interior of the rear fuselage of the four-engine B-17G Flying Fortress bomber. It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for detailing the interior of the rear fuselage of a model of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress in 1:48 scale. The set is not an airplane model — it is a set of fine photo-etched parts for bringing out interior equipment that plastic cannot manage.
The set adds to the rear fuselage, that is the waist gunner positions, the transition to the tail section and the small equipment of this area. It adds panels, braces, ammunition holders and further details, so that the interior looks faithful even where the fuselage is lit or opened up.
The B-17G was the most widespread version of the American Flying Fortress. The rear part of the fuselage carried the waist gunner positions and led on to the tail defensive position; the aircraft became famous for its heavy defensive fire and its toughness on daylight raids over Europe in the Second World War.
The set is used to detail a plastic kit of the matching type and scale. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
