SPACE is an interior accessory, not an airplane model. This set from the Czech company Eduard concentrates on the cockpit insulation and the armor plates of the B-26 Marauder bomber in 1:48 scale. The raised 3D decals create a faithful color detail of the quilted insulation and the armor on the inner walls of the cockpit that would be hard to achieve by hand.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engined medium bomber of the Second World War. In combat aircraft the cockpit interior was covered with thermal and acoustic insulation and completed with armor elements protecting the crew, which give the cockpit its characteristic look.
The 3D decals are neither laid in water nor soaked: only the backing paper is moistened, the element is lifted off with tweezers and fixed with PVA white glue. Their thickness and relief come from the carrier layer. They are fitted to the inner walls of the cockpit before the fuselage is closed. This set combines well with other interior accessories.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package unless stated otherwise.
