A photo-etched set for the interior of the American twin-engine B-26 bomber in 1:48 scale. Metal parts take the place of areas that a plastic mold can manage only as shallow relief.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation B-26 belonged to an American twin-engine bomber with seats for a crew of several men. Once built, the cockpit of such a machine is visible through the glazing and the glazed nose, so it is worth putting more work into it than into a single-seat fighter.
These are metal parts for the interior of a model in 1:48 scale. Photo-etching is a thin sheet with shapes etched out of it; it replaces plastic parts where they would have to be unnaturally thick and adds small items that cannot be molded. Which parts are in the package and where they belong is shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
Finish the interior and fit the photo-etched parts before you glue the fuselage halves together, otherwise there is no way to reach them. Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand the tab down. Degrease bare metal before painting and spray it with a primer. Make the bends over a sharp edge or in a bending tool and glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied drop by drop.
The set is for modelers who want the cockpit of a bomber in 1:48 scale to be detailed even under closed glazing. The package holds only the photo-etched parts; the kit, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
