This is a set of water-slide decals in 1:48 scale from DK Decals. The set is devoted to the Bell Airacobra Mk.I fighter in service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) and offers several marking options for particular machines. It is neither a kit nor a finished model: the sheets add historically accurate national insignia and individual markings to a base plastic model.
Airacobra Mk.I was the British designation of the American Bell P-39 / P-400 fighter with its unconventional layout of the engine behind the pilot and a nose landing gear. The RAF operated the machines briefly in 1941, among others with No. 601 Squadron. The finishes match period British camouflage schemes with RAF insignia.
The set contains decals only. The kit, paints, glue and varnish are not included in the package.
