The SPACE line set from Eduard combines color 3D decals of the instrument panel and the side consoles, printed on decal backing paper, with steel photo-etched seat belts. It is not a kit but an accessory for raising the realism of the cockpit of the injection-molded Buccaneer S.2D in this scale.

The real subject

The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British two-seat carrier-borne strike aircraft intended for attacks from low altitude against targets on land and at sea. It served with the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. The S.2 version carried more powerful engines, and later modifications brought more modern avionics.

Use and fitting

• The 3D decals give the dials and the panels a relief look without painting; moisten the backing paper under the element with a sponge and soapy water and lift the element off with tweezers.
• The elements do not have their own adhesive layer and are fixed with PVA white glue; the maker does not recommend super glue, and do not use a decal softener, because the chemicals attack the printed resin.
• The steel belts are shaped into a drape over the seats and bonded with super glue; degrease the surfaces beforehand.
