A plastic kit of the single-seat Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet carrier fighter and strike aircraft in 1:48 scale from Revell. The model offers a sectioned fuselage, wings, landing gear and underwing armament and suits a build with no need for further accessories. The decals make it possible to finish the machine in US Navy colors.
The F/A-18E Super Hornet is the larger and higher-performing successor to the original Hornet. Compared with it, it has a bigger airframe, more powerful engines, a longer range and a greater weapons load. The single-seat E version serves with the US Navy as a multi-role machine capable of air combat as well as strikes on ground targets, and it forms the backbone of the carrier air wings.
Have a little filler and fine abrasive paper ready for the fuselage joints and the leading edges. Paint the cabin and the landing gear bays before closing the airframe up. Mask the transparent parts and glue them so that they do not go cloudy. The typical low-visibility gray scheme comes out best from an airbrush; a fine panel wash will bring out the panel lines and restrained shading the weathered areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
