An injection-molded plastic kit of the American twin-engine Douglas Boston III / A-20 B/C Havoc in 1:48 scale from Italeri. The box allows either the attack or the bomber variant to be built thanks to two versions of the nose, and it brings decals for several Allied markings along with clear parts for the glazing.
The A-20 Havoc, known to the British as the Boston, was a fast twin-engine attack and light bomber aircraft. It served with the American, British, South African, French and Soviet air forces. It stood out for its good speed and handling; it was used for low-level attacks, for bombing and as a night fighter in various nose configurations.
Choose the nose variant according to the markings you want to build, and finish the interior and the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Mask the nose and cockpit glazing. The rear gun position can be built open. Spray the large surfaces with an airbrush and lay down a gloss coat under the decals; fit the bombs and the drop tanks at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
