The set contains two resin figures of the crew of the SR-71 high-altitude reconnaissance machine in full-body pressure suits. The castings are finely worked out and completed with a decal sheet for insignia and markings. The figures will liven up a build and a diorama scene in 1:48 scale; they are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The two-man crew of this strategic reconnaissance aircraft consisted of a pilot and a systems operator. Because of flights at the edge of the stratosphere, the crew had to wear complete pressure suits with sealed helmets, very similar to space suits. This equipment makes the pair of figures an attractive subject symbolizing the peak of Cold War aviation technology.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks, sand the areas and protect your airways. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After applying primer, shade the silvery gray suits by layering; apply the decals onto smooth varnish and fix them with a matte overcoat.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
