About product

Eduard photo-etched landing flaps for the P-40K (1:48, for Eduard)

This is not a kit and not a model but a set of photo-etched metal parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It lets you show the landing flaps of the American Curtiss P-40K fighter in a faithful open (lowered) position with a fine internal structure that plastic parts cannot imitate. The set is made for the P-40 plastic kit by Eduard.

Use

  • Separate the parts carefully from the photo-etched fret and clean up the edges
  • Shape the thin metal surfaces over an edge or in a photo-etch bending tool
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate)
  • Paint the flaps in the interior color and bring them out with a wash for a three-dimensional look

Who the set is for

For modelers building the P-40K by Eduard in 1:48 scale who want realistically lowered landing flaps. Working with fine photo-etch calls for experience and care.

This is a modeling accessory (photo-etched parts), not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
