An injection-molded plastic kit of the British carrier night fighter de Havilland Sea Hornet NF.21 in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. The model offers engraved surface detail, a well detailed cockpit with an instrument panel and a radar operator's station, one-piece four-blade propellers with separate spinners, optionally folded or spread wings, optional landing gear and a three-part canopy. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Sea Hornet NF.21 was a naval night fighter derived from the land-based fast twin-engine Hornet. For service on Royal Navy aircraft carriers it received arrestor equipment, folding wings, radar and a strengthened structure. It entered service at the end of the 1940s as a two-seat machine with a radar operator.
Liquid cement for plastic, a base coat of primer and airbrush spraying are recommended. Finish the cockpit and the operator's station before you close the fuselage. The folding wings allow an impressive carrier deck display, and the panel lines come alive with a fine panel liner.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
