A resin interior set in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker CMK refines the pilot's compartment of the British Boulton Paul Defiant fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic parts with more faithful castings - typically the cockpit tub, the seat, the instrument panel, the side panels and the controls.
The Defiant was a British two-seat fighter with a powered gun turret behind the pilot. The pilot sat in a separate forward cockpit; a finely worked interior shows to particular advantage on models with the canopy removed or the cockpit open.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Paint the interior before the fuselage is closed up; pick the details out with a wash and a dry brush. Checking the fit against the plastic model you are using before the build is recommended.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin accessory. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
