The Dornier Do 335A Pfeil 1:48 masking set to be applied to the clear part of a model. The templates come ready shaped, so there is no cutting of masks out of masking tape.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit but a set of masking templates for a plastic model of the single-seat Dornier Do 335A in 1:48 scale. The masks are stuck directly onto the canopy glazing and protect its transparent areas during spraying. This is the single-sided variant; the manufacturer also offers a double-sided version under a similar name, which additionally contains masks for the inner side of the glass.
The Do 335 was a twin-engined machine with an unusual powerplant layout: one engine in the nose and the second behind the cockpit, with a pusher propeller behind the tail surfaces. Because of this the fuselage has a markedly long spine and the cockpit sits roughly in the middle of its length. The A version is single-seat, and the glazing consists of a windscreen and a sliding section with several frames.
Wash the clear part in lukewarm water with detergent, rinse it and let it dry. Lift the masks with tweezers and, once in place, press them down with a soft tool so that the edges seat everywhere. Apply the paint in thin coats; too heavy a coat will seep under the edge and blur the line. Remove the mask once the paint has set, not after the coat has fully hardened.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included.
