This is NOT an airplane model but a resin detail set - a faithfully rendered late ejection seat of the ESCAPAC 1F-3/1G-3 type for the Douglas A-4 G/H/K/M Skyhawk II variants in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified seat from the plastic kit and is usually accompanied by fine parts and belts; the exact contents are not stated here.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was a light carrier-based attack aircraft which, thanks to its compactness and reliability, served with a number of navies and air forces all over the world. The late export and upgraded versions (G, H, K, M) used an ejection seat of the ESCAPAC series. A faithful seat is one of the most conspicuous details of an open cockpit.
Separate the seat from the casting block, wash it free of the mold release agent and glue it with cyanoacrylate. Spray the base coat, set the belts and the padding apart in color, light the recesses through with a dark wash and pick the edges out with dry brushing. Sand resin with respiratory protection.
