The Reskit KM-1M ejection seat is a resin, 3D-printed detail accessory for experienced modelers. This is not a stand-alone model, but a single KM-1M ejection seat designed to be fitted into a model's cockpit in 1:48 scale. The seat is universal for a range of Soviet fighters — the MiG-21, MiG-23, MiG-25 and MiG-27. The accessory is made by Reskit.
The set replaces the simplified seat from a plastic kit with an accurately rendered KM-1M ejection seat with fine detail of the straps and structure. Thanks to 3D printing and resin it offers sharper detail than mass-produced molded plastic and noticeably brings the cockpit of a finished model to life.
First wash the part to remove any uncured print resin residue. Carefully cut off the print supports and clean up the mating surfaces. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Use respiratory protection when sanding and work in a well-ventilated area; check the fit in the cockpit before gluing.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
