A resin and 3D-printed cockpit detailing set for a model of the fighter-bomber F-105G Thunderchief in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. It replaces the cockpit from the base kit with a more faithful resin interior. It is intended for the F-105G kit from HobbyBoss and on its own it is not an aircraft model.
The F-105 Thunderchief was an American supersonic fighter-bomber; the F-105G Wild Weasel version was a two-seat specialized variant for suppressing air defenses during the Vietnam War. A detailed cockpit is clearly visible in a two-seat canopy, so a resin replacement markedly lifts the final impression.
The Basic form uses pre-printed 3D decals of the instrument panels, which come colored from the factory. Wash the parts to remove any uncured print resin residue, cut off the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection; bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
This is not a standalone model. The set serves to improve a kit; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
