This is not a standalone model, but replacement air intakes designed for the plastic kit of the F-14D Tomcat fighter from Tamiya in 1:48 scale. The accessory replaces the intakes from the box with a more accurate shape and sharper detail. The accessory is made by Reskit.
The set provides replacement intakes with a more accurate cross-section and duct shape, improving the overall look of the model's forward section. The parts are designed to fit the Tamiya F-14D kit in 1:48 scale and help remove the simplifications of mass-produced injection-molded parts.
First wash the parts to remove residual print resin. Carefully cut off the print supports with a sharp knife or saw and clean up the mating surfaces. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). When sanding and cutting, use respiratory protection and work in a well-ventilated space; check the fit against the kit before gluing.
