Open exhaust nozzles for the F-15I Ra'am and F-15K Slam Eagle late engines (F100-PW-229) in 1:48 scale from ReSkit. A 3D-printed resin detail set.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set, not a standalone model. These 3D-printed resin open exhaust nozzles from ReSkit replace the plastic parts in a basic kit in 1:48 scale. The set is meant for the late versions of the export strike aircraft F-15I Ra'am and F-15K Slam Eagle with Pratt and Whitney F100-PW-229 engines, and it holds nozzles for both engines.
The F-15I Ra'am is the Israeli and the F-15K Slam Eagle the South Korean derivative of the two-seat F-15E strike aircraft. Late machines use Pratt and Whitney F100-PW-229 engines, whose exhaust nozzles have a characteristic petal shape. Accurate nozzles at the tail end are among the things that set a well-built model apart from an average one.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut off the print supports and sand them with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Work up the insides of the nozzles with a dark wash and metallic shades, and suggest heat discoloration on the outer skin according to use.
This is a supplementary set for more experienced modelers. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
