An injection-molded plastic kit of the multi-role fighter General Dynamics F-16C in the Block 40 version in the colors of the Israeli Air Force, in 1:48 scale from Kinetic. The model captures the single-seat version with equipment for precision and night operations and offers a detailed cockpit as well as the external stores typical of Israeli machines.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most successful fighters of the modern era. The Block 40 version (known as the Night Falcon) brought equipment for navigation and target designation in darkness and in bad weather and the ability to carry precision-guided munitions. The Israeli Air Force is one of the major users of the F-16 and has used it in a number of operations; its machines carry a characteristic finish and equipment.
The cockpit and the clear canopy call for the most work – paint and fit the cockpit before you close up the fuselage, and it pays to improve the instrument panel and the seat as well. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the canopy with liquid cement for clear parts, and mask it beforehand. Build the camouflage scheme with an airbrush over a primer, spray the transitions between shades lightly and apply the decals onto a smooth gloss surface. Paint the external stores and the armament separately and fit them at the end, once the weathering has dried.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
