A 3D-printed resin open F-16 exhaust nozzle (F100-PW-220 engine) in 1:48 scale from Reskit. A replacement nozzle for an F-16 kit: it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed 3D-printed resin exhaust nozzle set, not an aircraft model. The set replaces the exhaust nozzle of the General Dynamics / Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter in 1:48 scale. It is the open nozzle of the Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 engine, that is with the petals fully spread as the nozzle looks on a parked aircraft. Watch out for two distinctions: the version for the F100-PW engine differs from the nozzle of the General Electric F110-GE engine, and the open nozzle is different from the closed one. 3D printing captures the fine petals far more faithfully than plastic. It is made by the Ukrainian company Reskit.
Apply a primer, then the metal shades (burnt metal, titanium, steel). Distinguish the inner and outer petals and pick out the edges with a dry brush or with graphite; soot and heat staining come from a thin wash and filters.
For modelers who are building an F-16 with the F100-PW-220 engine in 1:48 scale and want a faithful open nozzle. Working with 3D-printed resin calls for some experience.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Use a respirator and ventilate the area when sanding resin.
