Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Kinetic captures the two-seat F-16D Block 40 in Israeli Air Force service in 1:48 scale. The model offers the lengthened two-seat cockpit with two seats, a well-defined surface with engraved panel lines and the typical armament and external stores of the late Fighting Falcon blocks. Check the contents of the box and the specific decal options in the enclosed instructions.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter. The two-seat F-16D version was created as a fully combat-capable variant with a rear seat for a second crew member, used both for training and for demanding combat tasks. Blocks 40 and 42, known as the Night Falcon, brought revised avionics, a stronger landing gear and the ability to deliver guided munitions. Israeli machines of this generation are marked by a number of local modifications and by a distinctive service finish.
Separate the parts with a cutter and glue the joints with thin cement for plastic. It pays to mask the glazing of the two-seat cockpit so that both the interior and the frame stay clean. Lay down a gloss coat before the decals and a matte or semi-gloss coat over them. For the desert camouflage an airbrush and gradual shading of the panels are ideal; paint the external stores and the drop tanks separately and fit them at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
