The late Phantoms have their exhaust part built differently from the early machines, and it is precisely for them that this pair of castings is prepared. Because the same set exists in two executions according to the base kit, a clarification belongs here: this package is cut for the kit from the brand Academy.
The group E, J, F, G and S brings together machines from the second half of the type's service. The E version brought an internal cannon and a wing with leading-edge slats; the J flew from decks with an improved radar; the F came about for the West German Luftwaffe as a lightened counterpart of the E version; the G specialized in destroying antiaircraft radars; and the S was a modernization of the carrier-based machines with an extended service life. Despite the differences in equipment they share the form of the tail.
In the smaller scale every tenth of a millimeter counts, so the edges of the petals are only lightly leveled before gluing and are not sanded to a sharp edge. The metallic look is well captured by a dark base completed with dry rubbing with a metallic pigment, with the saturation of the discoloration growing toward the mouth. A matte varnish will unify the whole transition at the end and remove any unwanted gloss.
A pair of nozzles is the only content of the package; the other parts are supplied by the kit.
