The model has a finely engraved surface, a detailed cockpit with glazing and a well detailed landing gear with its bays. The large 1:48 format shows off the swept wings and the sturdy fuselage.
The F-84F Thunderstreak was an American single-seat jet fighter-bomber with swept wings, developed from the straight-wing F-84 Thunderjet. Compared with the older versions it received wings swept by about forty degrees, a modified tail surface and a new canopy. The aircraft first flew in 1952 and became a widespread type in Western air forces during the Cold War.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. First assemble and paint the cockpit, then close the fuselage; mask the glazing and paint the frames separately. Apply a primer before painting. Assemble the landing gear bays and the pylons carefully. For a natural metal finish, metallic paints are the answer: they are applied over a smooth base and at the end, because they are harder to mask.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
