This plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Japanese maker Zoukei-Mura captures the F-4D Phantom II multirole fighter. It belongs to the premium Super Wing Series, which is characterized by a faithful reproduction of the internal structure, the engines and the armament. The model is injection-molded and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The F-4D Phantom II was a variant of the celebrated two-seat twin-engine McDonnell Douglas aircraft, adapted primarily for the US Air Force. Tailored electronics and sighting systems made it a type deployed above all during the Vietnam War. The Phantom became famous for its performance, its weapons load and an exceptionally long service career with air forces around the world.
Thanks to the elaborate internal structure it is worth working section by section as the instructions suggest and leaving some panels removable, so that the detail of the engines and the underwing stores stands out. Use liquid cement for plastic and paint the bays and the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Masking and airbrush spraying pay off above all with a multicolor camouflage, as does a gloss coat compatible with the decals before they are applied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
