This is not an aircraft model but a set of three-dimensional interior decals for the Fokker D.XXI fighter in 1:48 scale. The box gives them as intended for Special Hobby kits. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Kelik, which since 2021 has concentrated on exactly these interior 3D decals. Compared with ordinary decals they are layered and in relief, so the instrument panel and the other panels have real depth rather than merely drawn dials.
The Fokker D.XXI was a Dutch single-engine fighter with fixed landing gear from the 1930s. Besides the Dutch Air Force it was also used by the Finnish Air Force, in whose service it won a good name during the Winter War against markedly more modern opponents. The cockpit was simple and uncluttered, so the interior details are clearly visible once the model is built.
The procedure differs from that for ordinary decals. Soak the decal for a few seconds in warm water, and once it releases from the backing paper, settle it in place. A gloss base or PVA glue (white glue) helps it adhere better. Important: do not use decal softener or a setting solution, as they would damage these 3D decals. The panels are then not repainted, only carefully brought out.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The Special Hobby base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
