About product

Marking mask for the Fokker D.XXI, 3rd series, 1:48 (MH Models)

A painting mask in 1:48 scale for a model of the Fokker D.XXI fighter in the third production series variant. It makes it possible to spray the national and identification markings straight in paint with an airbrush, so that no glossy film and no decal edge appear on the model and the insignia blend with the surface.

The real subject

The Fokker D.XXI was a single-seat fighter with a fixed landing gear from the late 1930s. The Finnish Air Force built it in several series and committed it in the Winter War and the Continuation War alike; the third series differed in the engine used and in details of the airframe.

Use

  • Stick the mask onto a clean and degreased, ideally glossy base.
  • Press the edges down carefully, so that no paint runs underneath them.
  • Spray the markings with an airbrush in thin coats.
  • Remove the mask while the paint is fresh and varnish over it if necessary.

Who the mask is for

For modelers who want clean sprayed national insignia on a model of the third series Fokker D.XXI in 1:48 scale.

This is a mask on its own; the model and paints are not included in the package.
