The set contains resin plugs that fit exactly into the landing gear bays of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 model in the A-7, A-8 and F versions in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit and not a replacement part of the airframe but a practical aid: the plugs temporarily cover the open bays during spraying, so that no overspray gets into them and masking is fast and clean. The manufacturer is Omask. The plugs are matched to the Fw 190 kit from Eduard.
The inside of landing gear bays on aircraft is usually painted differently from the outer surfaces of the airframe. Inserted plugs let you spray the camouflage of the fuselage and the wings without laborious masking of the bays with tape; once the paint has dried they are simply taken out. They save time, lower the risk of paint creeping into an interior that is already finished and leave the edges of the bays sharp and clean.
Try the plugs dry before spraying and sand them lightly if necessary for an exact fit; protect your airways when sanding resin. Insert them only after the paint inside the bays has dried, and take them out carefully again once the airframe has been sprayed.
This is an aid for masking, not a model and not a paint. The kit, paints and masking tape are not included in the package.
