A resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech accessory maker CMK. It is not an airplane model but a set for the cockpit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A fighter, containing the seat, the armor of the side and back sections and, in this version, a representation of the seat harness as well. The set replaces the simpler plastic parts and noticeably raises the fidelity of the pilot's compartment. A version without the harness also exists, which you would choose if you use your own belts. The set is designed for the Tamiya kit.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A was a German single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a BMW 801 radial engine. The cockpit is one of the most closely watched places on a finished model, particularly with the canopy open. Accurately cast armor and an indicated harness give the interior realistic depth.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the interior before closing the fuselage, pick the harness out in a fabric shade and treat the metal elements with a light wash to emphasize the detail.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base aircraft kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
