A turned metal 75 mm Pak 39 L/48 barrel for the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer in 1:48 scale from Aber. An accurate metal replacement for the plastic barrel on models of the Hetzer tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a turned metal barrel in 1:48 scale from the Polish firm Aber. It is not a model or a whole kit but an accurate accessory that replaces the plastic barrel supplied with the kit. The metal version has a perfectly circular profile with no glue seams and a faithfully shaped muzzle, which cannot be achieved in injection-molded plastic.
The 7.5 cm Pak 39 L/48 was a German anti-tank gun with a barrel length of 48 calibers, used in the Second World War as the main armament of the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer light tank destroyer. Thanks to its low silhouette and respectable penetrating power, the Hetzer was among the popular machines of the closing stage of the war.
Cut off the original plastic barrel and clean up the seat, then fit the metal barrel and fix it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before gluing, and use a primer suitable for metal before painting. The muzzle can be filled and sanded gently for a perfect transition.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
