A detail set of the Mk I airfield hand bomb cart in 1:48 scale from Plusmodel. The parts are made by 3D printing. It is not an airplane kit but airfield equipment: a low cart on which aircraft bombs were brought to the machine and hung underneath it. It is a rewarding element for a diorama of an aircraft being armed.
The cart brings a maintenance and arming scene on an airfield to life and gives it action and documentary credibility. It combines beautifully with ground crew figures, bombs and an aircraft in its armed configuration.
Wash the parts clean of print resin residue, cut away the print supports and glue them with super glue. The metal frame comes alive in a dark olive or metallic color, followed by chips, rust and dust from pigments, which give the cart a well-worked look.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is not an airplane model. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
