Harrier T.Mk.12 Conversion set 1:48 (CMK)

A combined conversion set that makes it possible to rebuild a model of the single-seat Harrier into the two-seat T.Mk.12 trainer version in 1:48 scale. The package combines resin parts, photo-etched elements, vacuum-formed canopies and decals. CMK (Czech Master Kits) is a Czech brand of resin accessories.

The real subject

The Harrier T.12 was the two-seat trainer version of the British vertical takeoff aircraft, with a lengthened nose and a second, higher-set cockpit for the instructor. It served to train the pilots of combat Harriers.

Use and tips

  • Wash the resin and photo-etched parts and cut them off the casting blocks.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); the photo-etch can be tacked in spots.
  • Cut the vacuum-formed canopies out with a margin and clean them up by sanding.
  • The conversion calls for cutting the fuselage - follow the enclosed instructions.
