The Zoom line from Eduard is a simplified color photo-etched set aimed at the most visible features of the cockpit of a model of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale. It contains pre-printed self-adhesive parts, above all a color instrument panel, side consoles and seat belts. Zoom is a selection out of a larger color photo-etched set and concentrates on a quick, striking improvement. It is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory for the Arma Hobby Hurricane kit that the name gives.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British single-seat fighter which, together with the Spitfire, bore the main weight of the Battle of Britain in 1940. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, and the fuselage with its frame of steel tubes covered in fabric was characteristic of the type. The framed cockpit lets a detail set show to advantage.
The pre-printed photo-etched parts are self-adhesive. Degrease the surfaces before sticking them on and separate the parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat. The edges can be blackened lightly and the surface unified with a matte varnish.
This is a detail accessory for a corresponding kit in 1:48 scale; the aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
