A decal set for models of the German Heinkel He 111 bomber in 1:48 scale, focused on the late production series. It covers the H-16, H-20 and H-22 forms, that is machines of the end of the war, which differ from the earlier versions in armament, equipment and the way they were used. The set serves to mark a particular aircraft and to add the technical lettering on the surface. It is not a model of the aircraft and not masking templates.
The He 111 entered service as a modern fast bomber, but in the course of the war it grew obsolete and looked for new tasks. The H-16 version received heavier defensive armament, while the H-20 was also used for dropping paratroopers and as a transport machine. The H-22 form was the most unusual: it served as the airborne carrier of the V-1 missile, which it launched over the sea beyond the reach of ground defenses. It was exactly this role that gave the old bomber a last purpose.
Apply the decals onto a gloss coat, otherwise air will stay under the film and a silvery haze will form. Cut them out close to the motif, soak them in clean water and transfer them with tweezers. Squeeze the excess water out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges. On a broken surface use a softener and, once dry, go over the model with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat.
