An injection-molded plastic model of the British fighter Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc in 1:48 scale from the Polish brand Arma Hobby. It is a select boxing to which the manufacturer has added a set of 3D-printed (resin) accessories: seats with belts, exhausts and cannon barrels in two variants, enough parts to build the aircraft in an early as well as a later form. A decal sheet with several color schemes is included, among them machines from the period of operations over the English Channel.
The Hurricane Mk.IIc was a version of the classic British fighter powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine. What set it apart from the earlier versions was an armament of four 20 mm Hispano cannon in the wings instead of machine guns. Thanks to its robust structure and versatility the type served not only as a day fighter but also as a night fighter and a fighter-bomber, known as the Hurribomber. It was deployed on a range of fronts from Britain through the Mediterranean to the Far East.
Glue the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and fill and sand the joints if needed. First wash the 3D-printed (resin) accessories free of uncured resin residue, separate them carefully from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting, apply the colors with an airbrush in thin coats and mask the camouflage transitions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
