A resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer CMK that completes the interior of a model of the German transport aircraft Junkers Ju 52/3m. It adds finely cast equipment for the cabin and the cargo compartment that injection-molded plastic only suggests. It is not an airplane model, but an accessory intended for the Ju 52/3m kit in 1:48 scale.
The Junkers Ju 52/3m, nicknamed Tante Ju, was a three-engine transport aircraft with a characteristic corrugated duralumin skin. It appeared at the beginning of the 1930s as a civilian airliner and during World War II it became the main transport aircraft of the Luftwaffe – it carried soldiers, cargo and paratroopers and also served as an air ambulance.
Paint and assemble the interior before closing the fuselage, because it is partly visible through the windows afterwards. Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut them away from the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For depth of detail, lay a dark wash into the recesses. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The set is an accessory for the given model, not a standalone kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
