A set of 3D-printed parts in 1:48 scale for the Ju 88G-6 and Ju 188A kits from Dragon.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ju 88 was one of the most widely used German aircraft of the Second World War, and over its course it grew into a whole family of versions. The Ju 88G-6 was one of the late night fighters, while the Ju 188A is a follow-on design with a different nose and tail surfaces. Both versions are built often in modeling, and both deserve more careful execution of the details than a large run of injection-molded plastic allows.
Parts produced by 3D printing in 1:48 scale, intended for the Ju 88G-6 and Ju 188A kits from Dragon. The list of parts and where they go on the model is given by the manufacturer in the instructions, which are needed for the build.
Separate the parts from the print supports with a sharp blade a little way from the part and gently sand down the remaining marks; a coarser file will easily damage the thin shapes. Wash and degrease the parts before painting so that the paint holds evenly. They are bonded with super glue; polystyrene cement does not work here. Always try the fit dry first and adjust the plastic kit part as needed so that the printed part sits without pressure.
For modelers who are building the Ju 88G-6 or the Ju 188A from Dragon in 1:48 scale and want to add more finely executed parts to the model. Working with printed parts calls for a steady hand, a sharp blade and a little patience when dry-fitting; the result, though, is sharper detail in the places everyone notices on a finished model.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
