Quinta Studio 1:48 Ka-52, a colored 3D interior (1:48)

A colored 3D decal from Quinta Studio meant for detailing the interior of a model of the Russian Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. This is the small version of the set. The fully colored raised elements of the instrument panels, consoles and cockpit details are printed on a decal backing paper and are applied like a decal: they have no adhesive layer of their own. This is not etch and not resin.

What the set is and how it works

A 3D decal combines real depth (recessed dials, switches, levers) with factory coloring, so the interior looks realistic without demanding painting. The individual elements are dipped briefly in lukewarm water, slid off the backing paper and seated on the cockpit surfaces; they are not self-adhesive and hold on a gloss varnish.

Use and tips

• Before applying, clean the surfaces, degrease them and coat them with gloss varnish: the element holds precisely on the gloss, and a matte base is a mistake.
• Separate the parts carefully and place them exactly; the pliable film follows the shape.
• The edges can be secured with a small amount of a suitable glue if needed.
