This is a detailed cockpit accessory, not a stand-alone airplane model. The set brings a 3D-printed, colored interior on decal paper supplemented with 3D-printed resin parts for the Aero L-39C Albatros trainer and light attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from Quinta Studio. The accessory is intended for the Trumpeter base kit, which is not included in the package. Check the exact package contents against the manufacturer's information.
The set raises the detail and the color of the cockpit considerably without the need to hand paint the instruments. The pre-printed colored elements on decal paper (instrument panels, side consoles, stencils) are applied to the interior parts and add realistic relief and legible detail to them. The combination of printed decals and 3D-printed resin parts gives the cockpit a depth that the plastic parts out of the box do not have.
Apply the colored elements on decal paper as decals: give the parts a coat of gloss beforehand, which is what the element holds on, and use neither a decal softener nor a decal setter, as they attack the printed resin. First wash the 3D-printed resin parts free of print resin residue, cut the print supports away and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding resin. Work carefully and in stages, ideally before the fuselage is closed, when the interior is easiest to reach. Check that it fits the Trumpeter kit.
