This is a 3D-printed (resin) detail set of LAU-3A rocket launcher pods for unguided Hydra rockets of 70 mm caliber, in 1:48 scale from Reskit. It is not a kit and not a model of an aircraft but faithful external stores used in the US Air Force and the US Army on aircraft as well as helicopters. The LAU-3A is a nineteen-tube rocket pod for salvo fire of unguided rockets.
The set replaces the simplified plastic pods with accurate 3D-printed parts with a faithful structure of the tubes and the mounting features. It comes into play when building machines in a combat configuration with salvo rockets, typically of the Vietnam era and later deployments.
Wash the parts free of uncured resin residue, cut the print supports off and clean the surfaces up; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting and spray the shades with an airbrush. Before gluing, check the fit against the pylons of your particular kit.
This is a detail accessory (external stores) rather than a model of an aircraft. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
