A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Hauler in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but an accessory in thin sheet metal, intended for models of the American M4A1 Sherman medium tank. It adds the fine items that a plastic mold cannot achieve. The target kit is Tamiya.
The Sherman has a great many thin sheet-metal items, brackets, lifting eyes and pieces of hull stowage. The plastic version tends to be thick and simplified. The photo-etched replacement brings the exposed details down to a scale thickness, and the model gains markedly in realism.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife, and make the bends in a bender or between two metal rulers. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the sheet metal before painting and apply a primer for metals.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The Tamiya base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
