Reskit has prepared, in 1:48 scale, a model of the vehicle with which ground crews carry bombs and rockets under combat aircraft. The name makes clear that the lifting section is in the lower position, that is the way it looks while taking on a load from the ground. The build and the finish are up to the modeler; neither an aircraft nor a load is supplied with it.
Ground equipment tends to be overlooked at shows, and yet without it nothing would take off from an airfield. The lift truck drives under the pylon, raises the load and the crew brings it millimeter by millimeter into the lock. This work takes hours and goes on in every kind of weather. In 1:48 the vehicle also takes up little room, so it will fit even on a smaller base beside a finished aircraft and give the scene both scale and sense.
It is advisable to rid the parts of grease before painting and let them dry out properly. Choose the way of joining them according to what the parts are made of. Paint the small frames in thin coats, otherwise the fine detail will disappear. Working machinery will take pronounced wear: chipping on the edges, greasy traces around the lift and a deposit of dust on the lower surfaces are all in order on it.
It is supplied in an unassembled state and unpainted. Do not look for glue, paints or figures in the package, unless stated otherwise.
