The set is intended for finishing the interior of a model of the Mi-24V combat helicopter from Zvezda. Instead of flat printing these are three-dimensional, relief elements that are stuck straight onto the parts of the cockpits and give the instrument panels and the side panels depth. They pay off anywhere the canopies stay open or at least see-through, because on this type the interior is clearly visible through the glazing.
The Mi-24 is a Soviet attack helicopter that combines the attack role with a limited transport capacity in the compartment behind the cockpits. The crew sits in two separate cockpits one behind and above the other, each with its own canopy, so the model has two interiors to equip right away. Within the family the V version is marked out by the traversing turret with a machine gun in the nose and by the ordnance carried on the stub wings. The instrumentation of both cockpits is rich in round dials and distribution panels, which is the type of detail three-dimensional decals are built for.
First paint the interior parts and spray them with a gloss varnish, and only then stick the decals on. On a matte surface air stays under the film and the edges silver. Release the decal in lukewarm water, transfer it with tweezers or a brush and soak the water from under it away with a cotton swab. Use a decal softener sparingly, as three-dimensional decals take less chemistry than thin classic sheets and with a strong dose they can ripple. Once it is completely dry, cover it with a matte varnish, otherwise the gloss would disturb inside the cockpit, and lead a fine wash only into the corners. Stick the panels on before the fuselage is closed up, as after that you will not reach them.
