The MiG-25, nicknamed Foxbat, is among the fastest production combat aircraft ever built. The twin-engine machine with a high-mounted wing and a pair of vertical tail surfaces was originally an interceptor, but a whole family of reconnaissance and reconnaissance-bomber versions soon grew out of it. These include the MiG-25RBF and the MiG-25RBS, which differ from each other in the equipment of the reconnaissance section of the fuselage and in small details on the nose. After 1991 machines of this family stayed in service with the successor states of the Soviet Union, Ukraine among them.
The decals cover two Ukrainian aircraft, one with the fuselage number 74 in blue and the other with the number 17 in red. Besides the national insignia and the fuselage numbers the sheet also carries technical stencils and warning markings, so the model gets a complete description of its surface without buying a further sheet.
These are classic wet decals. Cut the element out close to the edge of the print, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until the film starts to slide freely on its backing. Apply it onto a gloss clear coat, draw the excess water off with a soft cloth and use a decal softener so that the decal settles into the panel lines. Once dry, go over the surface with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat.
